Livre d'heures

Book of Hours

HISTORY ... of an exceptional Book of Hours

The Book of Hours of Francis I created in 1532.

This small manuscript (8.5cm high) is a goldsmith's jewel.

So, with this "all patrons" campaign, during my visit to see the exhibition "Francis I and the Art of the Netherlands" at the Louvre in Paris, I had a crazy desire to participate in bringing this little treasure back to France. The artists and artisans of the Renaissance excelled. I am happy to have participated.

The bookmark is magnificent, set with turquoise and rubies.

The Book of Hours makes its entry into the Louvre Museum, thanks to all the donors, the goal has been achieved.
