Land Art (Art in nature) is an intervention in nature,
almost always using natural materials,
such as sand, wood, pine cones, leaves, pebbles….

Thus, the artist creates a work of art that will be ephemeral. Nature, wind and wild animals will inevitably modify the creation.
The project:
Create a work of art in nature that will be unique and change over time… Ephemeral art
where the work is integrated into the space where it is located, subject to the laws of nature. The soil,
the vegetation is part of the work. Only photography will make it possible to keep an overall vision
of the creation, and the work will have no commercial value.
I chose the location. It is in the Pyrénées Orientales (66).
The senses: touch, smell, discover….;
Choosing the space: Ensure respect for the environment. The place is invaded by mimosas. Mimosas can reach 4 to 10m in height, with creeping roots that invade the space very quickly.
I therefore choose to keep only the trunks of these invasive mimosas. Now we need to...

Cut... burn...(with permission!)

clean...
