Kellestom as seen by Philippe-Manuel Mercier
Kellestom seen by...Philippe-Manuel MERCIER
"... Playing subtly with solid colors and shades, from light to dark, depending on the desired texture and slight roughness of the material, she uses mixed media.
The quality of her talent, her intense capacity for work and tenacity, as well as exploration and observation of the world, are a source that feeds her imaginative vein. From her travels comes the inspiration that brings to her work this perspective on the unknown, its discovery, its study.
Her sensitivity is not eliminated; it has become a spiritual content transmitted immediately, outside of known forms. This process generates a "multidimensional" space, "a poetics of natural space," to permeate and penetrate it ever more deeply, to exalt light and landscapes in abstraction.
Kellestom develops a gestural painting in which she expresses her feelings. This rebirth to herself expresses the revolution of self-awareness as a "spiritual woman": it is the emergence of organic lyrical abstraction.
These works bear witness to a harmony that allows the greatest number of people access to contemporary painting, and for that, we thank her infinitely.
