The World Trade Center Memorial

The World Trade Center Memorial consists of a park with two square pools located on the very site of the two destroyed towers, fed by waterfalls flowing down the walls. In the centers of the pools are two recessed square blocks into which the water flows. This movement of water represents the fall of the twin towers.
The project by Israeli-American architect Michael Arad was selected.
